Professional Biography:

Robbie begins his first year as a member of The University of West Alabama Athletic Training and Sports Medicine Staff. During the past two years Robbie Simonek served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of Arkansas while earning a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science. At Arkansas, he worked mainly with the sports of Men’s Tennis, Baseball, and the Spirit Squad. Prior to this position, Robbie attended Henderson State University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training in May 2009. During his undergraduate studies, Robbie worked with many different sports within the University setting as well as some time at the local high school.

Additional UWA Assignments:

Robbie's primary responsibility is to coordinate an athletic training outreach program for the secondary schools within the UWA service area. The program aims to improve the evaluation, treatment, management, rehabilitation, and referral of injuries and illnesses by working with administrators, coaches and local health care providers to increase the level and availability of athletic training services within the schools.

Robbie is recently married. He and his wife, Tember, reside in Livingston. He is from Wills Point, TX and enjoys fishing, hunting, and playing sports during his free time.
