Biography: |
After
completing a two
year Graduate
Assistantship at
The University
of West Alabama,
Michael became a
full time
Assistant
Athletic
Trainer/Instructor
in January 2011.
Michael works
primarily with
Football and
Baseball in
addition to
instructing the
Introduction to
Athletic
Training course.
Michael began
his Athletic
Training career
at Georgia
Southern
University, a
CAATE accredited
athletic
training
education
program and
graduated in May
2009 with a
Bachelor's
degree in
Athletic
Training and
Exercise
Science.
While at Georgia
Southern,
Michael worked
with Softball,
Men’s Soccer,
Statesboro High
School,
Volleyball, and
Football.
In August 2009,
Michael began
working at The
University of
West Alabama as
a Graduate
Assistant
Athletic Trainer
while earning
his Masters of
Arts in
Teaching.
While working at
West Alabama as
a Graduate
Assistant,
Michael worked
primarily with
Men’s and
Women’s Tennis
and Football.
He also worked
as a
Rehabilitation
Technician for
Champion Sports
Medicine
Physical Therapy
during the
summer of 2010.
Michael hopes to
continue to grow
as an athletic
trainer/instructor
at West Alabama
and plans to
obtain his
Strength and
Conditioning
certification in
the near future.
