Manley
Blackwell is a faculty member at The University of West
Alabama, where he teaches private piano, theory, and music
history. He has frequently performed as a soloist,
chamber musician, and accompanist at numerous college and
university campuses in many parts of the South and
Midwest. He received the Doctor of Musical Arts
degree from Michigan State University and the Bachelor and
Masters of music degrees from Louisiana State
University. He is also a member of the Meridian
Symphony Orchestra, and serves as organist at Meridian's
First Christian Church.
