Professional bio: Dr. May taught health and physical education at Douglass High School in Atlanta, GA from 1971-1974. He taught as an Instructor in HPE at East Texas State University from 1975-1978. He was director of HPE at San Juan Community College in Farmington, NM in 1978-1980. He worked in the private sector as a field engineer and commercial construction superintendent from 1981-1993. He reentered the education field in 1993 and was an instructor/assistant professor at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, GA from 1993-1998. He has been at UWA since the fall of 1999 first serving as an Assistant Professor. He was promoted to Associate Professor effective with the Fall, 2003 semester.
